Food: We ate in the sports bar twice and thought the food just OK. It's about an hour 45 to the south rim of the canyon, if that's on your list of things to do. We used the hotel as a base from which to visit Oak Creek Canyon and Sedona, and it met that need very well. My wife immediately commented on the quality of the amenities and we both noticed the quality of the towels.
The parking staff was also friendly and on top of things. The housekeeping staff was friendly and accommodating and we even saw a worker in the early morning light looking for trash in the open range behind the hotel where I suspect few people even bother to look.
The front desk staff was especially welcoming and I had a very nice exchange with a security guard in the casino (where we ate) when I needed some directions. Just about every staff member was warm, welcoming, friendly and ready to be of service. We are not gamblers, but our experience this trip, like our first stay 4 or 5 years ago, was so enjoyable that we will return. This was our 2nd stay here and we will return.
